How We Can Help

Link-Up provides a service to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people over the age of 18, who have been adopted, placed in foster care, institutionalised or forcibly removed, to trace and be reunited with their families. As this is a confidential and sensitive process, Link Up workers ensure that they work with clients in culturally appropriate ways, giving guidance and support to both the client and their family.

Link-Up Victoria is a part of a nation wide service with eight programs currently operating across Australia. Link-Up’s role includes:

  • Undertake family tracing on behalf of Stolen Generations
  • Conduct reunions for Stolen Generation’s
  • Deliver face to face and group counselling for Stolen Generations
  • Refer clients onto therapeutic services and other appropriate support service
  • Advocate on behalf of clients
  • Provide an outreach service to Stolen Generations across Victoria
  • Provide a prison visiting service to Stolen Generation clients
